Buying from Solida Power Inc

How to order

We sell wholesale to the trade — distributors, design firms, OEMs, EPCs and facility owners. This page covers all of it: which route your product takes, how to open an account, what to put in an RFQ, and the commercial terms behind every order.

Who we sell to

Solida Power Inc is a wholesale distributor. We do not sell to the general public, and we do not compete with our own channel — if you are an installer, your local store is the right and cheaper path.

Local distributors & physical shops

Contact us for the full catalog, certification documentation, distributor pricing and protected-account terms. We will discuss territory and stocking expectations with you.

Power design firms & OEMs

Ask us for full technical specifications, evaluation units and design-in pricing. Once a part is designed into your product, we protect the pricing and manage continuity of supply with you.

Datacenters, EPCs & utilities

Large equipment is quoted against a project, not a part number. We coordinate with the manufacturer on configuration, production schedule, inspection and delivery to site.

Contractors & installers

Please order through your local electrical supply store — they hold trade terms with us and can get you the part faster. If your store does not carry Solida Power Inc yet, send us their details and we will contact them directly.

The three routes to purchase

Every product in the catalog carries one of three tags. The tag tells you exactly what happens when you click the button on its page.

Comparison of the three purchasing routes
Route Typical products Pricing Lead time You do this
In Stock Standard modules, sensors, contactors, control boards, replacement parts Published on the product page, per unit Same day to 2 business days from U.S. stock Add to your order request and submit — we confirm and invoice the same day
Configure Bidirectional converters, transfer switches, PDUs, EV-charging modules, rectifier shelves Firm price once the configuration is fixed Typically 4–16 weeks Send the configuration you need — we confirm feasibility, then quote
Project Solid-state transformers, large UPS, MV rectifiers, high-speed transfer switches, busway Quoted against the scoped application Typically 20–52 weeks Start a conversation — we scope with you and the manufacturer before pricing

Opening an account

You can request a quote without an account. You need one before we can ship — it is how we confirm you are buying for a business and how sales tax is handled correctly.

What to send us

  • Legal business name, address and phone
  • Federal tax ID (EIN)
  • Resale certificate, if you are buying for resale
  • Accounts-payable contact and billing address
  • Trade references, if you are requesting credit terms
  • Shipping address and any receiving restrictions

What you get

  • Distributor or design-in pricing on your line
  • A named account contact and a named engineer
  • Certification and compliance packages on request
  • Quote history and repeat-order shortcuts
  • Net terms once credit is established

Writing a good RFQ

The more of this we have up front, the faster and firmer the quote. Send what you have — a partial RFQ is far better than a delayed one, and we will come back with the specific gaps.

Electrical

Input voltage and phases, output voltage and current, continuous and peak power, and whether power flows one way or both.

Environment

Indoor or outdoor, ambient temperature range, altitude, humidity, and any acoustic or ingress requirement.

Quantity & schedule

Quantity for this order, expected annual volume, and the date the equipment is needed on site.

Compliance

Required listings and standards, the authority having jurisdiction, and any customer or utility specification you must satisfy.

Interfaces

Connector and termination type, communication protocol, control signals, and how the unit must integrate with what is already there.

Documents

A single-line diagram, spec section or competitor datasheet — anything that shows us the intent. Attach it to the RFQ or email it after.

What happens after you send it

  1. 1

Acknowledgement — within 1 business day

A person confirms receipt, names your engineer and account contact, and tells you if anything essential is missing.

  2. 2

Technical review — 1 to 5 business days

We confirm the selection against your application and, where needed, take the configuration to the manufacturer. If we think the part is wrong for the job, we will say so.

  3. 3

    Quotation

A written quote with firm pricing, lead time, warranty, applicable listings and the exact configuration quoted. Quotes are valid 30 days unless stated otherwise.

  4. 4

    Purchase order

You issue a PO to Solida Power Inc in the U.S. We acknowledge with a confirmed ship date. Engineered equipment carries a deposit; the configuration freezes at this point.

  5. 5

    Production, inspection and delivery

Stocked parts ship immediately. Engineered equipment is built, inspected against the agreed test plan, then shipped direct or staged through our logistics partner for phased delivery.

  6. 6

    Documentation and support

You receive the documentation package — test reports, certifications, manuals and serial records — and warranty support runs through Solida Power Inc, not through an overseas factory.

Terms, shipping and returns

Payment
New accounts: prepayment by ACH, wire or company card. Net 30 available once credit is established. Engineered equipment carries a deposit at PO with the balance before shipment.
Minimum order
Shown per product. Small components carry a minimum quantity; equipment is quoted per unit. Below-minimum quantities can usually be arranged for evaluation.
Shipping
Domestic shipments are FOB origin unless the quote states otherwise. We can ship on your carrier account. Freight, crating and liftgate for large equipment are quoted separately.
Lead time
Stocked parts ship same day to two business days. Configured products run 4–16 weeks; project equipment 20–52 weeks. Every quote states the lead time it is priced against.
Warranty
Stated per product and honoured through Solida Power Inc. Register the serial number at delivery. Warranty covers manufacturing defects; it does not cover misapplication, over-voltage events or installation outside the published ratings.
Returns
Stocked, unopened, current-revision items may be returned within 30 days with an RMA number; a restocking fee applies. Configured and engineered products are built to your release and are non-returnable once production starts.
Cancellation
Stocked orders can be cancelled before they ship. Engineered orders are subject to the manufacturer's cancellation schedule, which we state in the quote before you commit.
Damage in transit
Inspect and note damage on the delivery receipt before signing, then tell us within 48 hours. Photograph the packaging. We handle the carrier claim from there.

These are our standard commercial terms, summarised. The complete terms and conditions accompany every quote and govern the order.

Compliance and import

Certification is per model

We state a product as UL Listed or UL Recognized only where that exact model has been verified in the certifying body's directory, and we send you the documentation. We never describe the company or the catalog as a whole as certified.

Importer of record

On imported goods, Solida Power Inc acts as importer of record and handles customs classification, duties and country-of-origin documentation, so you receive a domestic invoice from a U.S. company.

Incoming inspection

Stocked items are inspected on receipt. Engineered equipment is inspected against the agreed test plan, with factory witness testing available on request.

Installation is the installer's responsibility

We supply equipment and documentation. Installation must be performed by qualified personnel in accordance with the NEC, local code and the manufacturer's manual.

Still not sure which route you are on?

Send the enquiry anyway. We would rather route it internally than have you guess.
