Solida Power Inc Advanced Power Electronics

Capabilities

A specialized U.S. distributor of advanced power devices and components

Solida Power Inc selects, documents and supplies power electronics for critical infrastructure. Our advantage is not shelf space — it is knowing which product is right, proving it on paper, and standing behind it from a U.S. entity.

What we are — and what we are not

Solida Power Inc is a specialized value-added distributor. We carry a short, deliberate line of advanced power electronics, hold the standardized items in U.S. inventory, and bring engineered equipment in from selected manufacturers against your specific application.

We are not a depot, a superstore, or a broad-line catalog with a search index and no opinion. We are also not a grid-solutions engineering firm — we do not design your system or stamp your drawings. What we do sits between those: choose the right product, prove its documentation, quote it from the U.S., and get it to you on schedule.

Being clear about that boundary is deliberate. It is why our catalog is short, why most prices are quoted rather than published, and why a technical question reaches somebody who can answer it.

We do

  • Select and qualify products against your application
  • Verify and supply certification documentation per model
  • Quote, purchase and invoice from a U.S. entity
  • Act as importer of record on imported goods
  • Coordinate production, inspection and delivery
  • Arrange customization, kitting and integration with the factory

We do not

  • Sell to the general public or to homeowners
  • Perform installation or electrical construction
  • Design or stamp your electrical system
  • Claim listings we have not verified for that exact model
  • Compete with our own distributors on their accounts

What we actually do for you

Electrical distributors differentiate through technical advice, documentation, project logistics, kitting and staging — not by holding the largest catalog. These are the services behind every order we take.

Carefully selected products

Every line we carry has been evaluated for build quality, documentation and factory responsiveness. If we would not specify it ourselves, it is not in the catalog.

Technical product knowledge

Ratings, derating curves, topology trade-offs and failure modes discussed before you commit — with somebody who has read the datasheet, not just the marketing sheet.

Certification documentation

Listing verification and compliance paperwork assembled per model number, in the form your inspector, your customer or your quality system needs it.

Application & selection assistance

Send the load profile, the environment and the constraints. We come back with candidates, the reasoning, and an honest note where none of them fit.

Access to specialized manufacturers

Including overseas builders that are hard to reach, hard to qualify and harder still to hold accountable across a time-zone gap and a language barrier.

U.S. quoting, purchasing and support

One domestic PO, one domestic invoice, importer-of-record handled, and warranty support you can reach during your own working day.

Project coordination

For datacenters, EPCs and utilities: production tracking, milestone reporting, inspection, staging and phased delivery aligned to your construction schedule.

Customization and integration

Connector sets, firmware profiles, enclosure changes, labelling and kitting arranged with the factory rather than improvised in your shop.

Product lines

Nine departments spanning the conversion chain, from board-mount modules to megawatt-class equipment.

How we fulfil orders

We run a hybrid model, and we are open about which side of it your order sits on. Carrying stock that nobody orders does not help you — it just raises the price of everything else.

Held in U.S. inventory

Items that are inexpensive, small, standardized across customers, ordered repeatedly, or needed quickly for replacement and evaluation.

  • Contactors and switching devices
  • Current and voltage sensors
  • Small DC/DC and AC/DC modules
  • Control and gate-driver boards
  • Evaluation units and replacement parts

Manufacturer-direct and staged

Equipment where every project needs a different configuration. Built to your release, inspected, then shipped direct or staged through our logistics partner for phased delivery.

  • Solid-state transformers
  • Large UPS cabinets and modular systems
  • High-power and bidirectional converters
  • Custom PDUs and busway equipment
  • Project-specific and multi-configuration equipment

Inventory follows demand, not the other way round

As order patterns tell us what customers actually reorder, those items move into U.S. stock and are marked ships from U.S. inventory. We would rather earn a warehouse than build one and charge you for the empty shelves.

Compliance commitments

Power equipment carries real consequences when the paperwork is wrong. These are the standards we hold ourselves to, and you are entitled to ask us to evidence any of them.

Certification claimed per model
We state UL Listed or UL Recognized only where that exact model number is verified in the certifying body's directory, and we provide the documentation. We never describe the company or the catalog as a whole as certified.
Manufacturer authorization
We sell under written manufacturer or reseller agreements with defined territorial rights — so the warranty you are quoted is one the factory will actually honour.
Clear warranty responsibility
Every quote names who carries the warranty and for how long. Claims run through Solida Power Inc in the U.S.; we deal with the factory so you do not have to.
Product-liability insurance
Carried and maintained. Certificates of insurance are available to customers on request as part of vendor onboarding.
Resale and tax documentation
We hold a California seller's permit and collect resale certificates from distributor accounts, so tax is handled correctly on both sides of the transaction.
Importer-of-record responsibility
On imported goods, Solida Power Inc is importer of record and handles customs classification, duties, country-of-origin marking and entry documentation.
Incoming quality inspection
Stocked items are inspected on receipt against a documented procedure. Engineered equipment is inspected against the agreed test plan, with factory witness testing available.
Serial and warranty tracking
Serial numbers are recorded against your order so a warranty claim years later does not depend on you having kept the paperwork.
Written returns policy
Returns, restocking and cancellation terms are stated in the quote before you commit — not discovered afterwards. Read the terms →

Installation remains the responsibility of qualified personnel working to the NEC, local code and the manufacturer's manual. We supply equipment and documentation; we do not perform electrical construction or approve installations.

For manufacturers

If you build advanced power electronics and the barrier to the U.S. market is representation, certification support or customer-facing technical service rather than the product itself, we should talk. We take on a small number of lines and support them properly.

  • U.S. quoting, purchasing and invoicing entity
  • Importer of record and customs handling
  • Certification documentation and AHJ support
  • Technical pre-sales in the customer's time zone
  • Warranty administration and field feedback
  • Access to datacenter, EPC and utility projects
